Chorong Park announced a University of Houston Computer Science seminar on a question that cuts across emerging technologies: how do technical capabilities become useful human experiences? The April 23, 2026, announcement scheduled the talk for the following day at 11 a.m. in PGH 563. [1][2]
The planned presentation, "Bridging Technology and Human Experience in AI, Robotics, and XR," drew on her research in aging, care, trust, privacy, and technology adoption. It invited an interdisciplinary look at what makes systems understandable and usable outside a demonstration. [1]
The distinction matters to Park's research direction: technical performance and a good experience are connected, but they are not the same question. Her seminar proposal brought the people using these systems into a conversation often centered on the systems themselves. [1]
