Chorong Park Joins the University of Houston

Park brings a people-first approach to technology, aging, and design to her new faculty role in Houston.

Chorong Park has joined the University of Houston as an assistant professor and Presidential Frontier Faculty member. She announced the move on September 2, 2025, bringing her work on technology and aging to a new academic home. [1][2]

At the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design, her focus is user experience and interaction design. Her research spans accessible immersive experiences, AI agents, and social robots, informed by aging and disability studies. [2]

The thread connecting that work is participation: involving people in shaping the technology they will use. As the university's faculty profile highlights, accessibility and autonomy belong in the design process, not just in the finished product. [2]
